Welcome to the King George Hotel Restaurant and Bar. This historic building “U krále Jiřrího” (the “King George house”) is a structure with a rich heritage. It is first mentioned in 1376, when it was part of the St. Anne’s Cloister and contained rooms for nuns. It continued to be used for this purpose until the late 18th century, when the cloister was dissolved. The building was then converted into a typical burgher’s house, well complementing its neighbours in the street of Liliova. A butcher’s shop was opened in the ground floor, and the section of the rear contained a printing workshop.
In 1992, reconstruction of the building began, leading to its present form. Today, it offers accommodation for all visitors who wish to enjoy the enchantment of Prague’s picturesque ancient streets. The restaurant is open only for breakfasts from 8am till 10am. It is open to hotel guests only. Breakfast is served in the form of Swedish Table and it’s in the prize of the accommodation.
After your breakfast why not take a stroll and enjoy the dramatic history of the Old Town? The King George Hotel is just a short walk from all significant places of interest.
